Description

Gokyo Lake - Renjo La pass trip is one of the most popular trip destination to everest region. It runs from Lukla to Lukla after fliying with one of the most experience fly to Lukla. The trek follows the DudhKosi valley route with an ascent up to the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar. From Namche, we traverse along a high path from where we have our first good view of Everest. climbing to the gokyo peak from Gokyo Valley with the height of 5350m similar altitude with Everest Basecamp you can see the spactacular view of Mt Everest, Nuptse & Choyo. Normally you will be staying at good lodge during the trek as per your required budget standart with breakfast, Lunch & dinner. The food will also be good, with items such as rice and curry, noodles, momos, soup and Tibetan-style bread featuring on menus. A staple food in the Khumbu region are potatoes, and these feature more prominently on the menus of trekking lodges here than elsewhere in Nepal, with fewer other fresh vegetables. The amount of fresh food available will decline as you progress higher, and costs also rise. From Gokyo you can add more adventure trip through Renjo La pass which is one of the most popular pass in Everest region or you can trek back down from the same way through Dole - Namche - Lukla.

In this day you will transfer to the domestic airport to catch the flight for Lukla early in the morning after your breakfast at hotel. The breathtaking views of mountains and rivers will make the approximately 30 – 35 Minutes’ flight remarkable before landing on Tenzing-Hillary airport, named after the pioneer invaders of the Everest. After necessary arrangements/rearrangements you will start heading towards Phakding which is reached at about 3.5 - 4 hrs of moderate walking. (Overnight stay at Phakding with full board)

Approximate altitude gain: 800 m. Following a trail through pine forest and crossing few suspension bridges, you will arrive at a small settlement called Benkar which is the gateway to Sagarmatha National Park. After necessary formalities, you will continue towards Namche Bazaar, the major market of Everest region, which teems with shops and hotels of diverse standards. (Overnight stay at Namche Bazaar with full board)

Acclimatization is an important part of trekking, especially those involving larger height gains: it minimizes the chance of complications due to abrupt altitude changes. This is first day acclimatization day for the EBC hiking. In this day you will be climbing up to 400m high visiting National park, Museum, Everest view hotel, Khumjung then climb down to Namche bazaar in the same hotel for overnight stay where you are stopped. For this reason you will stay another night at Namche Bazaar before continuing to Tengboche (3860m). Nonetheless, you will find your rest day at Namche worthwhile which accommodates — apart from hotels– banks, government offices, cyber cafes, restaurants, bakeries, massage parlors, trekking gear shops, etc. Or, you may attempt short hikes to Khumjung via Everest view hotel to improve your stamina. (Overnight stay at Namche Bazaar with full board)

After the breakfast We'll take one final loop of Namche before heading up a nice, easy trail that overlooks the snow-capped peaks of Shanasa - the small settlement of Mong. We'll ascend Mongla Hill on its left side and then head downward to PhortseThanga, and lunch. We'll follow the path upwards through woods of flowering rhododendron, and emerge to a perfect view of Cho Oyu. It's a relatively simple afternoon walk to Dole - our stopping point - a small village adorned with a handful of teahouses, which use to be a yak pasture. Resume the trek, covering a walking distance of nearly 7 hours. Splendid views of Mt. AmaDablam and Mt. Thamserku can be seen on the way. You will also walk through a few villages inhabited by Sherpas.

Today you will walk for nearly 6 hours, going uphill most of the time and enjoying a nice view of Khumbu plus beautiful glaciers on the way. Today's hike is short and pleasant, one that we can savor and enjoy. We're trying to take our acclimatization easily, so we don’t overtax ourselves with really pushing it at this point. The day starts with a climb over Dole via a scenic ridge. Crossing yak pastures and tiny villages of stones huts, we'll reach Luza. We'll follow our trail along a valley high over the river, crossing sandy spurs and pastures bordered with a chorten and prayer flags to gain Machhermo by midday with enough time to visit the Himalayan Rescue Association and get some well-needed rest.

It will take 5-6 hours for you to get to Gokyo. Gokyo Lake is a very beautiful lake situated high up in the mountains and the best part of the entire trip. Over the ridge we go, starting our day with fantastic views of the valley to Kangtega and the northern part of Cho Oyu. It's another relatively short climbing day, with steep trails making up for fewer hours. We’ll descend towards the river bank and then begin the climb towards the terminal moraine of the Ngozumpa glacier through an ablation valley formed by melting ice. A succession of cairns now marks the route through a stony landscape, with a small tarn -Mountain Lake- on the left. The valley now broadens and the trail reaches a second larger tarn TabocheTsho. Beyond this point the trail passes through a narrower section of the ablation valley and comes to a third tarn DudhPokhari, with prayer flags on its eastern shore. We'll pause to appreciate the view before trekking another hour to the village of Gokyo, located on the edge of the third lake.

Start walking towards the base of GokyoRi after breakfast early in the morning as per weather condition, we Climb to the top of GokyoRi (5350m), the only trekking peak in Khumbu region. You will not need any special climbing gears to do so. You are likely to be overwhelmed by the superb views of Mt. Everest, the massive Ngozumpa Glacier and the whole of Khumbu Himalayan Range including Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nutse, Mt. Makalu (8481m), Mt. Cho-Oyu (8153m) and Mt. Gychung Kang (7922m). If there is enough time, you can take a walk around Gokyo Lake returning to your accommodation in Gokyo.

Today we pass the Renjo La with the altitude of 5360m which is one of the popular pass among three high passes in Khumbu Region. after having the breakfast in the morning with the preparing pack lunch for on the way we pass Renjo La pass then climb down to Lungde for overnight stop. Today we walk up to Renjo La pass with mind-blowing view of Cho Oyu (8201m), Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8516m), Cholatse (6440m), Taboche (6367m), and other Himalayas along with the Gokyo Lakes and Ngozumpa Glacier, the longest glacier in the Himalayas.
